We're seeking a dedicated Band 4 registered Nursing Associate to join our nurse led outpatient team in South Bristol Community Hospital Outpatient Department. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives every day.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the outpatient setting.
  • Assisting with patient assessments, triage, and treatment plans. Providing patient education and support.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Coordinating the flow of the department alongside the wider team.
  • Teaching and mentoring learners on placement and coaching team members in their role.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of caring for sick patients in a variety of settings - this could be as trainee
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code
  • Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
  • Understands requirements for NMC professional Revalidation
  • Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Good basic level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and use initiative
  • Ability to develop own clinical skills and a willingness to participate in continuing professional development

Qualifications and Training
