We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Children's Community Nursing Team in our Children's Health and Development Division. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Children's Community Nurse (Band 5) who is looking to develop their skills in the largest community healthcare trust in London
The post holder will work within the Children's Community Nursing Team, visiting children in the community with a wide range of conditions, with the aim of reducing hospital admissions and attendances. The role will include nursing care, training, and supporting families, and supporting and mentoring student nurses.
Main duties of the job
The team provides a service to children and young people aged 0 - 18 years and works across the 3 London Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Westminster. The team works closely with colleagues in Primary Care, hospitals, social services, and education.
This post is for 37.5 hours per week, which will be worked flexibly over 7 days a week. This post offers a great opportunity for a qualified children's nurse to develop skills and experience in community nursing. The organisation is supportive of training needs and there is an excellent mandatory training and education programme. You will also receive regular clinical supervision and safeguarding supervision.
You will need to be passionate about children's nursing, enjoy working as a team as well as being an autonomous practitioner.
