Permanent
Salaried GP (2 days per week 4 sessions) may be able to increase to 3 days a
week or 6 sessions (and salary will be affected if this is the case)
Salary
to be around £11,000 - £13,000 (Per session, Per year) Depending on the experience
This
is for 2 full days a week 10 hours on 1 day and 8 hours on the other day (18 hours)
We
are looking for a motivated General Practitioner to help us cover this forward
thinking and great performing training practice. This would suit either an experienced
GP (preferred) or someone recently qualified. The position is 2 days per week and the days
and times are somewhat flexible. We are looking at starting around 9.00am and
finishing around 5.00pm on one of the days. The other day would be as a Duty
Doctor and would need to cover the practice from 8.30am to 6.30pm.
The
ideal days for the candidate will be discussed at interview. Duty Doctor would
probably be Thursday. However, we are open to discussion with the correct
candidate
Main duties of the job
The Normal Days would
consist of the following:
Telephone,
face to face or video appointments with patients
A
share of the administration attributed to the patients at the practice,
including letters, tasks, prescription queries, Patchs and other reports
Being
a valued member of the team and taking part in decisions made at the practice
The Duty Doctor Day would consist of being the on-call
doctor and further information around this will be given if selected for
interview
As
this is a permanent contract then you would be entitled to access the NHS
pension scheme (unless you opted out) and would receive 30 days annual leave
plus all of the Bank Holidays (1st January to 31st
December) The position would also allow one week study leave (pro rata) to be
taken annually
The
surgery uses the SystmOne clinical system and experience in this would be
useful
We are a training practice (hence the
priority on staff education) and work with FY2 doctors and Registrars.
We would support the
development of specialist interests (where aligned with the needs of the
Practice)
We

Qualifications
Essential
- You MUST be a current General Practitioner and registered with the GMC
Desirable
- Applicants with experience in General Practice should apply but as we are a supportive and training general practice then all newly qualified practitioners will also be considered.
- The use of the clinical System One would be a great advantage
- The individual should be a good communicator with skills in Microsoft Office and be comfortable in working on your own and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
