nurse interested in a preceptorship offer? We are offering an opportunity to
join our Health Visitor teams as a Community Nurse.
We are integrated with our Early Help and Social Care
colleagues and share an integrated electronic record which supports
communication and co-ordination.
Working in Cornwall has the added advantage also of having
some beautiful rural areas and beaches which provide plenty of leisure
opportunities to create a great work life balance. There are exciting
opportunities to be part of partnership working groups and multi-disciplinary
practice discussions to contribute, progress and lead innovative practice and,
enhance effective partnership working with education, GPs, Childrens Services,
Public Health and other key agencies.

The Role:
The role of the Community Nurse is integral part of the Health
Visiting team, supporting the delivery of a community public health nursing
service.
You will take delegated work and be responsible for your own
caseload, having a degree of autonomy over your diary and workload
planning. You will be providing
assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the Healthy Child
Programme

What youll need to succeed:
You should be a Registered Nurse with experience of working
with children and families being desirable. You will be working in community
settings and will hold a delegated caseload, therefore time management and
prioritisation skills are essential. You should be able to work alone and in a
team with an ability to maintain electronic records.
