About the Job: InGP OOHweassessandtreat patientswho require urgentunscheduled interventionsuitable for treatment by general practice clinicians when the GP surgeries are closed.Our referralscome from either111, via adedicated health care professional lineused byparamedicsanddistrict nursing teamsor from theAEDorMIU. We currently offer atelephone consultationfirst system tooffer high quality remote patient managementviatelephoneandvideo technologywhere appropriate, but if apatient needs a face to facerevieworexaminationthen this is offered at one of our bases at Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester and Stroud, as well as via home visitswhere appropriate.

Main duties of the job

As aANP / ACPworking inOOH,youll betreating patients face-to-faceorvia TelephoneTriagewith theflexibilityto choose whether youd like to do this in one of ourPrimary Care Centresas a base shift, or at thepatientsownhomeas part of ourhome visiting shifts.

Additional Role Information The OOH service is open from6.30pm 8am Monday Friday, and24 hoursover theweekends, with various shifts on offer between these times. You will also have the flexibility to choose when you would like to work in order to fit in with your lifestyle.

We providethishigh qualitycare via a skill mix ofGPsandAdvanced Nurse / Clinical and Paramedic Practitionerssupportedby anexperienced operational teamof shiftCo-ordinators,Assistants,receptionistsanddrivers. Wehave accessto basic day timeGP notesviaGP connect, summary care record, special notes and child protection information sharing. Both thelead nurseandmedical leadwork in aclinical capacityas well as amanagerial capacityand areapproachableandsupportive.You will also beusingourelectronic prescribingsystem.
