Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible
for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an
excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC
standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management
of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative
working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
About us
Bedlingtonshire Medical Group is a dynamic and
friendly practice located in beautiful Northumberland. We have a dedicated
clinical team of seven GPs, a nursing team of seven and five Healthcare
Assistants. The clinical team are fully supported by a management team
alongside reception and administration teams. We are a teaching and training
practice educating medical students and the next generation of GPs and are
committed to ongoing training and development of all our staff, through
education and learning meetings and external events.
We are an active member of the Wansbeck PCN, which
is made up of 3 other local surgeries. Our growing PCN shares the use of social
prescribers, health coaches, first contact musculoskeletal practitioners,
dieticians, pharmacists and mental health practitioners.
