We are looking to appoint motivated staff to train as advanced clinical practitioners to help support delivery of care for complex patients on our new SIF Ambulatory Assessment Unit (SIF AAU) in addition to supporting management of scheduled Gastroenterology day-case admissions.

Through specialised commissioning of intestinal failure services in the UK to help support safe delivery of care to patients with intestinal failure, UHCW was recently designated as one of two dedicated severe intestinal failure (SIF) centres for the West Midlands. As a SIF centre, we help to support medical and surgical management of patients from across the West Midlands with complex intestinal failure. This includes inpatient transfer for management of select complex patients, outpatient review and follow-up, and ambulatory care and treatment of long-term complex patients.
