Job summary

We are a level 2 Local Neonatal Unit funded for 18 cots, 2 ITU, 4 HDU & 12 SCBU. Caring for premature babies from 27 weeks gestation and term babies requiring enhanced levels of care. We also have a level 1 SCBU on the Epsom site for babies from 34 weeks onward. We encourage both adult and newly qualified nurses to apply as role specific training will be provide in the form of a comprehensive orientation program and access to the neonatal qualified in speciality course.

Main duties of the job

- Direct care for babies from 27 weeks onwards requiring thing such as short term ventilation, CPAP, phototherapy, invasive lines and feeding support.

-Work with families to empower them to become the primary carers and partners in care for their babies.

-Competent in administering drugs and utilising equipment.

Education/Qualification

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Degree in nursing

Desirable

  • Qualified in speciality (SCBU, HDU, ITU) or willingness to undertake

Experience
