Job summary
We are expanding! An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the position of Band 5 Theatre ODP within our day-case theatres. The hospital has three operating theatres and a minor ops suite and procedure room. Specialties include urology, breast surgery, gynaecology, ENT, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, ophthalmology, pain management, and dermatology services.
You will need to be organized and able to prioritize a busy workload to meet the department's needs. You will also provide support to Band 4, 3, and 2 staff in all areas. On occasion, you may be expected to work at King's Mill Hospital, which is also part of the SFH Trust.
You should demonstrate an aptitude for developing your knowledge, ideas, and work practices to improve quality and maintain our high standards of theatre practice. Working closely with the clinical education team, you will actively monitor your own training needs. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in the on-call rota
