When open, Woodside Place will support adults living with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health needs, dementia and physical disabilities
In this role, youll work at a senior level, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager, to manage a team of nursing and care colleagues, drive quality and maintain high standards of care on your unit.

Main duties of the job
As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you'll be at the forefront of clinical care delivery for the people living on your designated unit.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- leading your units care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support
- providing strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement
- overseeing and managing all your units clinical elements and risks
- ensuring care plans and risk assessmentsare completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately
- acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles
- the supervision and management of your units ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal ofmedication.

As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care,youll be at the forefront of clinical care delivery for the people living on your designated unit. You will work at a senior level, under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Manager, to manage a team of nursing and care colleagues, drive quality and maintain high standards of care. You will have a person centred ethos and be committed to enriching the lives of the individuals in your care.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Registered General Nurse/Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse/Registered Mental Health Nurse with minimum of 2 years experience.
- Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council pin number
- Understanding of the NMC the code
Desirable
- Training certificate or qualification
- Post-Qualification clinical training
- Undertaking continuing formal education in clinical and leadership development
Skills & Knowledge

- Nursing and clinical skills and knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Works under own initiative
- Working IT knowledge and digital skills
- Time management
- Assessment, admission and discharge process, including planning
