We are seeking an enthusiasticnSonographer to join our growing friendly team based in heart of London, working between both Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital and St Mary's Hospital. Whether you're looking for full time, part time or flexible working, we can look to offer this to you!

To join our incredible team we will require you to ideally have experience within obstetrics, including: 12 week scan (NTs) and 20 week scan (cardiac, uterine artery Doppler).

You will be dealing with a varied workload including high and low risk pregnancies and gynaecological ultrasounds.

You will not only have the opportunity to explore and enhance your clinical expertise, but you will also be developing your management, training and leadership skills all whilst being supported by our incredible team!

We also understand just how important it is to invest in you, so offer incredible training and support programmes to develop your skills to progress to a higher banding.

If that not enough to tempt you, we will be giving an extra £5,000 on top of your salary as part of our recruitment and retention premium (subject to terms and conditions being met) and a generous relocation package!

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will be a qualified sonographer who will be expected to work autonomously within the specialist field of obstetrics and gynaecology imaging.
  • To provide an efficient and professional ultrasound service, maintaining a high standard of patient care.
  • To assess and report on own specialist workload.
  • Participate in service activity within specialised areas of working.
  • To provide supervision and training of junior ultrasound staff, students and doctors rotating through the ultrasound unit.
  • To develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development

Education/ Qualifications

Essential

  • Recognised postgraduate qualification in ultrasound.
  • DMU / PgDip/ Pg Cert Medical Ultrasound.
  • Evidence of CPD.

Desirable

  • Nuchal translucency accreditation
  • HPC registration

Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities

Essential

  • Good Interpersonal skills.

EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience of range of obstetric/ gynaecological ultrasound
  • Awareness and knowledge of current safety requirements; NSC, NICE and other relevant national

  • Keen to support the Maternity Services Strategy, with particular regard to the quality of the patient journey.
