Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessments, treatment, and interventions within the inpatient team
- Work collaboratively with your colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in team discussions, treatment planning, and risk assessments.
- Engage with patients, carers, and families to provide holistic and person-centred care.
- Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement within the team
- Flexibility in providing cross cover to colleagues
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships.

Requirements:
- Medical degree and relevant psychiatric qualifications.
- Experience in mental health and psychiatric treatment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Job responsibilities
As a Specialty Doctor or Associate Specialist, you
will work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrist and a multidisciplinary
team to provide compassionate and effective psychiatric care in a home
treatment setting. Your expertise will help patients receive the support they
need while remaining inpatient, promoting recovery and stability. You will be
actively involved in Mental Health Act aspect of patient care e.g preparing
reports, representing RC at tribunals, mental capacity assessments etc.

Experience
Essential
- 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) 2 years of which as a ST/FTSTA in Psychiatry or equivalent experience/ competencies
Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Current full registration with the GMC (or eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment).
- Approval (or eligible for approval) under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
