Job overview
Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Ophthalmology service provides a number of services across different settings in North London. We are recruiting into a part time (34 hours) Band 5 position in our ophthalmology department at Royal free hospital.
The post includes working in Ophthalmology outpatients and Ophthalmology day surgery unit. The post also requires cross site cover as required.
This post is only available to Nurses who already have full NMC registration or student nurses awaiting their pin. Not suitable for nurses requiring OSCE.
Main duties of the job

Working in a friendly environment you will be responsible for the assessment and planning of care needs for Ophthalmic patients in a out patient setting and ophthalmic day surgery unit
Previous experience in Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
In addition to the Ophthalmology department at Royal Free hospital we also have ophthalmic clinics in other hospitals within the Royal free London foundation trust and you will be expected to work there if needed.
Working in a team you will be responsible for assessing patients and preparing them for doctors assessment in clinics as well as working in nurse led clinics e.g. pre-operative assessment and fundus Fluorescein angiography clinics
The hours ours will be worked across 4 days Monday to Friday depending on activity demand.
