Job summary
As a consultant neurophysiologist you will be member of a team which provides the reporting of adult EEGs, of children and neonates with a range of complex diseases and advise on clinical assessments and diagnostic strategies.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will include:
1. To report EEGs conducted on paediatric or neonatal adult patients as per timetable.
2. Supervise physiologists, SpRs and fellows in their performance and reporting EEGs.
3. To be available during normal office hours of the day of duty for consultations with referring physicians relating to inpatients in the hospital and to facilitate inpatient consultations on request.
4. To advise on study protocols

- oMRCP, FRCPCH or equivalent
- oCCT in Clinical Neurophysiology or Neurology or equivalent).
- oEligible for Full UK GMC Registration or equivalent on GMC Specialist register in relevant Specialty within 6 months of expected date of CCT.
- oNB: Non- UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and Specialist register in relevant Specialty by the date of the appointment.
- oPhD or equivalent High-profile publications as first, lead or senior author
- ounderstanding of current changes in the management and organisational structures of the NHS
