Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Elective Surgical Unit (Ward 12), at Dewsbury Hospital.

We have a vacancy for a 30 hours per week permanent post, day and night shifts, seven days a week.

Applications from experienced and newly qualified Registered Nurses are welcome. Mentorship and a period of supernumerary status will be given to the successful applicant.

Ward 12 (ESU) is a mixed Adult elective surgical facility with an extensive range of surgery being performed, gynaecology, breast surgery, general surgery, urology, plastics and many more, as day cases and in patients.

The Ward has 18 beds and is managed by a professional friendly and experienced multi disciplinary Team.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to work both independently and alongside your colleagues to provide the highest level of care.

You need to be a dedicated and motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work in a busy environment.
