Job summary

Band 6 - Fixed Term 12 months

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Clinical Research Nurse to join Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to work in research. The post holder will join a team of research nurses who are currently supporting the delivery of commercial and non-commercial National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio research studies across a wide range of specialties. This role will involve identifying, recruiting and supporting patients through the research process as well as providing support to study teams and clinicians carrying out research. Additionally, the post-holder will actively promote research amongst clinicians, service users and the wider NHS.

The post is full-time for 12 months and based within the Research and Development Department at Lantern Centre, Preston. The post holder will work as an 'agile' worker and therefore can be expected to work from different sites across the Trust on a regular basis.
