Job summary
We are currently seeking applications from GDC registered qualified dental nurses to join our Dental Team at Barts Health NHS trust.
We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team. This is a fix term, 12 month, MAT Cover position, 5 days per week role that will be based across the Postgraduate Dental Department, supporting Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Paediatrics & Restorative Postgraduate programmes. The main work site will be The Royal London Dental Hospital in Whitechapel.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a compassionate and caring approach to patients, be well organized, well presented, practice excellent Infection prevention and Control, be flexible in their approach to work, be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as using their own initiative.
The Postgraduate Programme is formed of a multidisciplinary team which provides a range of dental treatment to our patients, including delivery of care using conscious sedation. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a range of staff including consultants, specialist dentist's and post graduate students.
We have numerous staff benefits as well as providing subscription to a training package which supports our Dental Nurses in completing their annual GDC eCPD.
Candidates must hold a Dental Nursing qualification and have a good level of experience working as a Qualified Dental Nurse. Registration with the GDC is mandatory.
Main duties of the job
The qualified dental nurse is an integral member of the dental team. They play an important role in the provision of dental services and the effective operation of the dental institute and outreach facilities.
