Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our developing homecare team within UHD covering the care of the patient with a haematology / oncology diagnosis that require treatment within their own home. We are expanding our innovative community cancer care team and are looking for highly motivated, upskilled nurses to join our growing team. If you have experience in haematology and oncology and are passionate about delivering high quality patient centred care closer to home, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to work across UHD and the wider local community, helping to shape the future of cancer care delivery in the region. Main duties of the job
To provide a specialist nursing service within the community setting for patients requiring haematology and oncology specific care and management of on going treatment, including deliver of systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
Be an autonomous practitioner and have the freedom to act to influence patient care and service provision, under the guidance of the Band 7.
Promote best practice and delivering coordinated quality cancer care to patients and their families.
