Job summary

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated nurses to join our team across 2 wards gastroenterology and Hepatology. This is a demanding and challenging role and we are looking for individuals who are committed to providing an excellent service to patients by delivering high quality patient care. Our successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to role model excellent behaviours based on the Leeds way values.

The successful candidate will need to provide and be responsible for Support nursing teams with drain care and wound care where appropriate, Complete competencies for bloods and cannulas, supporting continence including stomas care, Complete competencies for taking G&S, ECG recordings, support new and current band 2’s, Share enhanced care need load.

J91 is gastroenterology ward care for and treat patients with serious conditions affecting the digestive system. This includes the stomach, intestines, bowels, liver, pancreas, and gall bladder.

J83 is a hepatology ward with a specialist interest in Liver Transplantation and Liver surgery. Additionally, we have opened a High Observation (HOBS) area to support our patients following varying surgical procedures in the immediate post-operative period.

Across both wards We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and forward-thinking nurses committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The post offers excellent opportunities to develop specialist skills as well as management experience.
