Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and focused individual to join the Women's Health administration team at the University College London Hospital.
You will undertake a key role in a busy and demanding service, ensuring we deliver on a range of targets including clinic and theatre utilisation, RTT compliance and waiting list management. A good working knowledge of Epic would be advantageous . You will work closely with your colleagues, with a view to providing a streamlined pathway for our patients. At times, you will be actively involved in the patient's full pathway from referral to treatment.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a drive and energy to improve the patient experience. Knowledge of 18 week pathways and EPIC would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a patient centered approach and experience of working within a busy NHS team, be a team player, able to multi task and use their own initiative, with values that are aligned with the Trust's core values.
Main duties of the job
Provide an efficient and effective administrative service to a multi disciplinary team.
Actively manage administrative processes and co ordinate care associated with patient pathways, including validation, bookings and solving queries that arise.
Ensure access and quality targets are met, identifying potential delays and escalating this to a team leader or supervisor.
Provide patients with a primary point of contact between the multi disciplinary team and their colleagues, patients, relatives and GPs, providing relevant information and assisting with queries.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English and Maths.
- Knowledge of the full range of administrative procedures, acquired through training and previous experience of working in an administrative environment.
- Awareness of the requirement to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Customer Service, Healthcare Support Services or equivalent qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a non-routine environment, with demonstrable evidence of problem solving and resolving issues as they arise (acquired through experience and/or training to Vocational level 4 or equivalent).
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment, resolving queries and using initiative to ensure first-class service delivery.

- Previous NHS experience, or experience of working in a healthcare setting.
