Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team within the Jasmine Suite, a busy Gynaecology Outpatient Department.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care across a range of specialist outpatient services, including Colposcopy, outpatient hysteroscopcy, and general gynaecology outpatient clinics. You will work closely with consultants, specialist nurses, healthcare support workers, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within the Gynaecology Outpatient Department.
  • Assist with colposcopy, outpatient hysteroscopy, and general gynaecology clinics.
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate individualised nursing care.
  • Support patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their safety, dignity, and comfort.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver safe and effective care.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with the NMC Code, Trust policies, and infection prevention standards.
  • Contribute to the smooth and efficient running of outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in quality improvement, audit, mandatory training, and continuing professional development.
  • Support and contribute to a friendly, welcoming, and professional team environment.
