Job summary

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our team on Ward 111.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced surgical environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, this could be the role for you. Our speciality of ENT Max Fax Plastics and ophthalmology offer a rewarding opportunity to develop your clinical skills and competencies within a supportive and experienced team.

Comprehensive training and education will be provided and all newly qualified nurses will benefit from a structured preceptorship programme to support their transition into practice and ongoing professional development.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 staff nurses on ward 111, a fast paced unit specialising in ENT, Plastics, Max Fax and Oncology offering a wealth of learning opportunities.

There will be the opportunity to develop specialist skills and knowledge within the specialities. This includes tracheostomy care, laryngectomy care, flap care, pre and post operative care.

Training and competencies within the specialities and on-going support and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm to work within a motivated team to provide high quality care through evidence based practice and innovation. The candidate is preferred to have surgical experience and basic computer skills along with excellent communication skills; experience in tracheostomy care is also desirable but not essential. They will work under the guidance of the senior team and mentor.
