Job summary
Healthcare Assistant to work in busy Urology Out-Patients, Day-Case setting .
Working as a team alongside Qualified Nurses / ODP'S to provide support in Urology Day case clinics as circulating nurse.
Working independently to facilitate Urodynamic clinics. With supervision and support from Nursing team & MDT.
Requires training in scope handling and decontamination .

Main duties of the job
Working within the department to provide a high standard of care to the Patients visiting the Department.
Provide compassionate care .
Maintain cleanliness within the Department and adhere to IPC policy and procedure.
Moving & Handling of patients requiring assistance.
Circulating nurse for Flexible Cystoscopy clinics , Trans-perineal Biopsy Clinics , Urodynamic studies, LUTS Clinics & Ureteric Stent Changes.
Work with Laser and X-Ray
Assist with patient flow throughout the Department .

- To undertake a range of delegated clinical duties
- Maintain patients privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
- Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.
- Continue to develop and maintain competencies to maintain high quality safe care.
- Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other theatre / department duties as required, e.g., general tidiness, re-determined stock are met and clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
- Assist with admin & clerical duties as required.
