Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen to come and join our dynamic Neighbourhood Mental Health teams. We have 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant posts based across:

- Reigate/Tandridge

- Mole Valley/Elmbridge

- Waverley/Guildford

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant within the team, you will work closely with an Occupational Therapist to deliver occupational therapy interventions within the new Neighbourhood model. The will include supporting the delivery of both individual and group interventions offering a clear care pathway, these interventions include:

  • Occupation Matters Programme - a 20 week group which utilises Lifestyle Redesign principles.
  • Recovery through Occupation - a 6 week group which uses the Re-Motivation process to improve an individual's motivation and social skills.
  • New Horizons - our occupational therapy led discharge pathway to support a smooth transition from secondary services
  • Memory Matters
  • Individual 1:1 based on OT assessment and recommendations

The occupational therapy leadership team is committed to offering extensive, co-ordinated CPD programmes including a robust supervision structure, care group meetings, Trust wide and core competence training and an annual conference.

Subject to reasonable adjustments in respect of any disability, candidates must possess a valid driving licence and be able to drive and have the unrestricted use of a car or motorcycle for work at all times including community based work.
