Admin Officer - Radiology Department

Band 3 | 37.5 hours per week | Permanent

Are you an organised, motivated and experienced administrator looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a busy healthcare environment?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Admin Officer to join our friendly Radiology Department. This is a key role within the service, providing high-quality, efficient and accurate administrative support to help ensure patients experience safe, well-coordinated and responsive care.

As part of the role, you will play an important part in maintaining safe patient pathways, coordinating appointments, managing waiting lists and maintaining accurate patient records. You will work closely with patients, clinical teams and partner services, ensuring information is communicated effectively and in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will work across relevant Trust sites to support the effective delivery of Radiology administrative services.
  • Completing allocated administrative duties and escalating workload concerns to the Team Lead.
  • Delivering the administrative functions required for the efficient day-to-day running of the Radiology Department.
  • Using Trust systems, including Epic, and Microsoft Office applications to maintain accurate records and support waiting-list management in accordance with clinically assigned priorities.
  • To provide efficient and accurate administrative support to Radiology services, helping to maintain safe patient pathways, effective appointment and waiting-list management, high-quality records and responsive communication with patients, clinical teams and partner services.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Team Leads, including reporting and data collection, to help maintain an effective service.Complete daily administrative activities as directed and work collaboratively with the wider team.
  • This key role requires close attention to detail, accurate record-keeping and effective coordination across teams.
