Job summary
Are you passionate about empowering children to fulfil their potential in daily occupations such as self-care, school and leisure?
This post is a fixed term position to support the Experts at Hand Plan associated with the SEND Reform. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Education professionals to develop universal and targeted resources which will be applied in early years, primary and secondary school settings. Support will be provided by qualified Occupational Therapists.
We welcome applications from experienced Band 4 OTAs who have experience working with children with additional needs.

Main duties of the job
As an OT Assistant you will be required to:
Supporting the implementation of universal, targeted, and specialist interventions.
Contribute towards the development and delivery of training packages which consider key areas such as sensory processing, motor skills and self-care skills.
Support the implementation of recommendations made by occupational therapists, Monitor outcomes and gather feedback.
Assist qualified occupational therapists in preparing reports and recommendations
Be able to work within Trust policies
Have excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
Have high organisation and time management skills
Work under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist seeking support as required.
