We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Unscheduled Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B Prison located in Bicester, Oxford.

Free parking, free gym, a great reputation for new starter inductions offering supportive, hands on and in-depth training! Easily commutable by bus.

Hours

37.5 hours a week, working 5 nights in a 4 week period, 7.30-19.30. and then the rest a mixture of main, long shifts, between Monday to Sunday 7.30.17.30. Every other weekend working 19.30-07.30.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £48,951 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Daily shift co-ordination responsibilities
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

  • Qualified Paramedic
  • Current professional registration (HCPC)
  • Proven post-registration ambulance experience - 3 years post- qualified
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
