Job summary
The role plays a key part in delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism to people who work in health and social care services within theCroydon Health Services NHS.
The successful Co-Facilitator will be supported to deliver training to include:
o Learning disability awareness and/or understanding autism.
o Reasonable adjustments.
o Supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people.
o Communication.
TheLearning DisabilityCo-Facilitator willbe co-delivering with a facilitating trainer.
The post holder will be part of an Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Team, alongside other Experts with Lived Experience Co-Facilitator,FacilitatingTrainers, LeadTrainerand support staff.
As a Co-Facilitatoryou be an expert with lived experience and have a diagnosis ofa learning disabilityor learning disability with Autism. You will be encouraged to share your experiences ofhaving a learning disabilityand using health services during the training.

Main duties of the job
The training will be co-delivered to help NHS and social care staff understand their role in supportingpeople with a learning disability and autistic people..
The training is split into two types:
? The first type of training is an online one-hour interaction session co-delivered to 30 members of staff called aTier 1 Webinar.
? The second type of training is a one day in-person training session that is taught atCroydon Health Services NHS Trust andco-delivered to 30 members of staff. This is called aTier 2 in-person training session. The morning session is co-delivered by the Co-Facilitatorwith a Learning Disability and Facilitating Trainer, and the afternoon session is co-delivered by the Autistic Co-Facilitator and Facilitating Trainer.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided to successful candidates to enable them to carry out this role and become an NHS England-accredited Oliver McGowan Mandatory Co- trainer by successfully attending the 'Train the Trainer' training.
