Job summary

Joining our supportive and forward-thinking Education and Inclusion Therapy Service as a Speech and Language Therapist, youll play a key role in ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. In this rewarding and varied role, youll help deliver Hampshire Local Area Partnership's Experts at Hand offer, providing therapeutic expertise for children and young people from early years through to post-16 education.

You'll collaborate closely with education professionals, families and partner agencies to provide consultation, advice, training and targeted therapeutic input. Youll help to build workforce confidence and promote inclusive practice, helping ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time, reducing barriers to learning and participation and improving outcomes.

This term-time only role offers an excellent work-life balance and a salary broadly equivalent to NHS Band 6. We also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Therapists, who would receive a salary of £33,104 per annum, broadly equivalent to NHS Band 5.

Main duties of the job

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Travel across Hampshire to deliver services, with caseloads allocated predominantly within your geographical area.

  • Benefit from a comprehensive induction programme and excellent continuous professional development opportunities, including regular bite-size learning sessions, access to internal expertise and external supervision where appropriate.
  • Thrive in a supportive team environment, with regular clinical and managerial supervision tailored to your role and caseload, alongside strong peer support.
  • Access clear career development pathways and opportunities to contribute to service innovation. Our Speech and Language Therapist roles align with NHS Bands 5, 6, 7 and 8a/b, providing opportunities for progression.
  • Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Access Health Assured's comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme to support your physical and mental wellbeing, including 24/7 telephone support, a suite of online resources, and legal and financial advice.
