We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Manager to join Health in Justice at Practice Plus Group.
This role is predominantly home based, however there will be occasional travel to sites and London or Theale for meetings.
This is a senior HR role responsible for leading the employee relations function across the service. You will focus on managing complex employment matters, ensuring legal compliance, supporting organisational change, developing managers, and leading a team of Employee Relations Advisers. You will play a key role in promoting workforce stability, staff wellbeing, and effective people management while working in this role.
Salary & Hours
This position is full time, working 37.5 hours per week and you will receive an annual salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus £4,000 car allowance. You will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus of 10%.

Main duties of the job
As the Employee Relations Manager your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Lead and manage the Employee Relations team (2 x Advisors).
- Coach and support Employee Relations Advisers
- Allocate and oversee casework and workloads.
- Monitor service standards and performance.
- Complex Employee Relations Case Management
- Provide expert advice on challenging and sensitive employee relations issues.
- Oversee disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance, probation, conduct, and conflict cases.
- Personally manage high-risk or complex cases.
- Support Employment Tribunal claims and ACAS Early Conciliation cases.
- Ensure HR policies remain compliant with legislation and best practice.
- Support restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers, and service redesign projects.
- Assess and manage employee relations risks during change processes.
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation of contracts.
- Coach managers on people management issues.
- Deliver employee relations training.
- Promote proactive and informal resolution of workplace issues.
- Analyse trends in:
Sickness absence
Disciplinary cases
Grievances
Tribunal claims

Qualifications, skills and experience required:
CIPD Level 7 qualification
Significant experience in:
- Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, or HR Management roles.
- Managing complex employee relations cases.
- Handling organisational risk and sensitive workforce issues.
- Supporting Employment Tribunal claims and ACAS processes.
- Advising senior leaders on employment law and workforce matters.
- Delivering organisational change programmes.
- Working in a complex and regulated environment.
- Leadership and people management.
- Stakeholder management.
