Optegra has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Speciality Glaucoma Doctor to join our bank team in our Bradford Eye Hospital. This role pays up to £65p/h dependent on experience.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Speciality Glaucoma Doctor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing both clinical and surgical assistance. This position requires a compassionate professional with a deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.

Job description
Job responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate and manage patients with existing and undiagnosed glaucoma along with other ocular conditions.
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual field assessments, optical coherence tomography (OCT), volk, CCT and gonioscopy.
- Provide management plans for existing Glaucoma referrals
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding glaucoma management and treatment options.
