Job summary
We are currently recruiting for receptionists at our G.P Surgery, we can offer either part-time or full-time hours to suit any successful applicant, these roles are perfect for motivated individuals eager to join our team and help provide the best experience for our patients.
We are a small G.P practice in the town of Great Dunmow in Essex serving approximately 13,000 patients.
A knowledge of EMIS would be preferable but full training will be given to the successful applicant(s).
We are looking for candidates who can be flexible within the role and have the capability to meet the daily needs of the practice and be able to support their team with cover and for absences and annual leave when required.
Main duties of the job
- The successful candidate(s) will greet patients and visitors warmly to ensure a positive first impression of our surgery.
- They will undertake duties including answering incoming telephone calls promptly from patients or healthcare professionals.
- Provide accurate information and direct inquiries appropriately, this can be face to face with patients, by telephone or on our online service.
- Remain professional, patient and calm in situations which can be stressful.
- They will assist patients with queries, book appointments and will work alongside our dispensary team and all clinicians.
About us
Our reception team are a very important part of our surgery workforce and are the face that our patients see first. Anyone joining the team must be flexible, willing and adaptive to the reception surroundings.
The successful applicant(s) must have a kind and caring nature and approach to the role in order to provide the best service to our patients and to represent our surgery. They must also have strong communication and organisational skills with an emphasis on teamwork and adhere to our confidentiality policy.
