Job summary

The Community Rehabilitation Service is an award-winning service provided by Second Step in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust and Missing Link. Shaped by people who have used mental health services, the Community Rehabilitation Service gives people the support they need to achieve their hopes and goals. We are passionate about recovery and the service is psychologically informed.

Main duties of the job

In your role as Assistant Night Recovery Navigator you will work collaboratively with people with long-term mental health and complex needs. Using a client-centred approach, and working collaboratively with a multi-professional team, delivering social and clinical interventions tailored to individuals cultural and social needs. Part of your role is to support service users to have a healthy sleep hygiene, creating a calm, safe environment in the house, offering emotional support to service users and managing risks. Were looking for a permanent Night Assistant Recovery Navigator to work 3 waking nights per week. This can be either as part of the rota or working regular nights to be confirmed on appointment. The Service has 10 rooms and is open 24/7 Monday to Sunday. The waking night shift is 21:00 to 09:30 with an hours break. Maintain regular contact with service users and provide practical support and assistance as appropriate. Contribute towards the co-production, implementation and review of recovery plans, crisis plans and other self-management tools e.g. Wellness Recovery Action Plan, in partnership with service users in line with best practice.
