Job summary

This post provides out-of-programme training in inherited cardiac conditions (ICC) for a candidate with suitable experience in clinical Cardiology. We expect post holders to undertake the same educational obligations as their colleagues.There will be opportunity to work in clinic, inpatients, imaging, exercise physiology, genetics as well as research and teaching.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Training and Responsibilities:Clinic:? Cardiomyopathies: new and follow-up patients? Specialist clinic evaluating and investigating families with sudden arrhythmicdeath.Inpatients:Routine care of patients admitted under the care of the ICC team and evaluation ofthose referred for an opinion from the ICC team.Exercise PhysiologyTraining in conduct and interpretation of cardiopulmonary exercise testing

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Successful completion of MRCP or equivalent
  • Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment

  • Post graduate medical research degree

  • Working in MDTs
  • Previous experience of working as ST1/2 or equivalent
  • Previous cardiology experience
