We have an exciting oppotunity for a 6 session GP on a 12 month fixed term maternity locum to join our growing practice. We are a large, supportive and fun practiceteam within a GMS multi-professional training practice offering plenty of opportunity for development of individual skills and interests and a real focus on education and training within the practice and involvement in education across Surrey. 22,300 patients, mixed semi rural practice
High standards and QOF achievement, extensive enhanced Services including IUC, implants, minor surgery.
Main duties of the job
To deliver a highly effective medical care to the entitled population. To ensure that the provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract.Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.Effective management of long-term conditions.Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks.On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor rolesContribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF

Job responsibilities
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
c. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d. Effective management of long-term conditions
e. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks

g. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
h. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process

k. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
l. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
m. Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including; clinical governance, training, financial management and HR

p. Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
q. Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
