Job summary

You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team that values clinical excellence, innovation and professional development. Whether your passion lies in advanced assessment, diagnostics, injection therapy, rehabilitation or service improvement, you will be encouraged to develop your specialist interests and contribute to shaping the future of MSK care. We recognise that excellent Advanced Practitioners develop through structured support and experience. Therefore, we welcome applications from experienced MSK Physiotherapists and First Contact Practitioners who may not yet meet all Advanced Practice competencies but can demonstrate the potential, ambition and clinical capability to develop into the role. Successful candidates will be supported through a structured development pathway with mentorship from our experienced Advanced Practice team.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of integrated MSK care within a Single Point of Access (SPA) service, alongside a team of Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, MSK Consultants and GPs with Extended Roles. You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive the right intervention, in the right place, at the right time. As an autonomous practitioner, you will undertake advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a wide range of complex musculoskeletal conditions. You will be responsible for independently requesting, interpreting and acting upon diagnostic investigations, including imaging results, and making informed decisions regarding patient management. Working across primary and secondary care interfaces, you will coordinate onward referrals into specialist services where appropriate, helping to streamline pathways and improve patient outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to develop advanced clinical expertise while making a tangible impact on local MSK services.

About us

We want everyone to have the opportunity to thrive. We help people help themselves, to get back to their best or to simply find a new way forward.
