Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our progressive, forward-thinking and multi-award-winning Pharmacy Department as theEducation, Research & Innovation Lead Pharmacist. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Education and Training team within Pharmacy at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, driving a culture of continuous learning, professional development and workforce excellence. You will also work closely with the Department Head of Pharmacy Digital Improvement & Innovation to champion new ways of working, harnessing digital and informatics technologies to transform patient care and improve outcomes.
Main duties of the job
A key focus of the role will be supporting the department to fully embrace a research-driven culture, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to innovate, influence practice and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

To support and develop the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation workforce ensuring they have the right knowledge, skills, values and behaviours to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care across a range of health and social care settings.
To provide Medicines Optimisation advice and support to the Children and Families Care Group focusing onmedicine value programs that utilise medicine, finance and patient level data to identify areas of inappropriate medicine use and variations in prescribing patterns to drive up quality and reduce waste.

- UK registered pharmacist with extensive post-registration experience in relevant sectors in UK, and with no restrictions placed upon them by the GPhC
- oHighly developed numerical and analytical, critical reasoning, critical appraisal, judgemental and problem solving skills

- Supplementary or independent prescriber
- Has an excellent understanding of research and evaluation methods including mixed methods evaluation and wider impact evaluation tools such as return on investment
