Job summary
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse Associate to join our friendly and supportive clinical team on a full time, fixed-term 12-month contract to provide maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large, innovative GP training practice where high-quality patient care, teamwork and professional development are at the heart of everything we do.
As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care to our diverse practice population. Working closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, you will support the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of patients with both acute and long-term health needs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills across a broad range of clinical activities while contributing to the continuous improvement of services and helping to maintain the excellent standards of care for which Spring Gardens Medical Practice is known. Working within your scope of practice and under the guidance of registered clinicians, you will be supported to make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of our patients every day.
Main duties of the job
Key duties include undertaking clinical procedures such as venepuncture, ECGs, wound care, health checks and basic observations, supporting the management of patients with long-term conditions, and assisting with vaccination and immunisation programmes where appropriately trained. The post-holder will provide health promotion advice, support patients in managing their health and wellbeing, maintain accurate clinical records using the practice's electronic patient record system, and contribute to quality improvement and infection prevention activities.
Working under the direction of registered nurses and GPs, the Nurse Associate will ensure care is delivered safely, effectively and compassionately while adhering to professional standards, practice policies and the NMC Code. The role requires excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding care.
