Job responsibilities
This role is an apprenticeship where you will learn on the job and work towards becoming a qualified Healthcare Support Worker.You will complete a Level 3 qualification while gaining real experience supporting patients in their homes and local community settings.You will work with guidance from nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, kind, and respectful care.The focus is on helping people stay independent and improve their wellbeing.As you develop your skills and confidence, you will take on more responsibilities within the team. You will be allocated a work-based mentor who will support you throughout the programme, helping you learn, build confidence and understand your role. You will always have access to guidance and support whenever you need it.

What you will need to apply
Essential
- Level 2 qualification (GCSE Grade 4 or C or above, or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Aged 18 years or over on start date of employment
- Able to work 37.5 hours per week, this will include your training days
- Not currently undertaking any other apprenticeship or further education or university level programmes
- Meet apprenticeship residency requirements
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of learning.
- If you are on a visa this needs to cover at least 2 years from the start of employment with no need for renewals during this period
