Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Administrator to join a dynamic and forward-looking Primary Care Network (PCN), based in Thetford, Norfolk.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, and caring person to support the continued growth and development of Breckland Alliance PCN.

The role is interesting and varied, and provides an excellent career development opportunity.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertaking a variety of administrative and compliance duties including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to our Primary Care Network (PCN) team including Clinical Director and PCN Business Manager
  • Supporting the PCN Business Manager to maintain policy and procedure documents and risk registers
  • Assisting with the review of compliance standards across the PCN
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude towards digital transformation, with a willingness to learn and utilise emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and AI agents
  • Seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, enhance productivity and support modern ways of working
  • Organisation of meetings including agenda formation, minutes and accurate record keeping
  • Producing external communications, including via social media, in respect of PCN activities
  • Administration support of PCN services such as, but not limited to, Vasectomy service and Travel Vaccines
  • Maintaining high standards of communication across the PC
  • Arranging training courses for the PCN, including booking and communicating invitations appropriately
  • Monitoring email inboxes daily, disseminating information across the PCN
  • Assist with HR and recruitment across the Breckland Alliance (advertising, interview set-up, references, inductions, appraisals, etc.)
  • Assisting with shared staff annual leave and other absence
  • Undertaking any other additional duties reasonable to the role, as requested by the PCN Manager and/or PCN Clinical Director
About us

The Breckland Alliance is a Primary Care Network (PCN) and clinical research partnership based in Thetford, Norfolk.

The 3 member practices are School Lane Surgery and The Grove Surgery, both located in Thetford, and Watton Medical Practice, located approximately 14 miles to the northeast of Thetford.

These 3 GP practices provide primary healthcare services for a total of approximately 45,000 patients.

  • Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
