Applicants must be a Registered Nurse or other registered Healthcare Professional (HCP) with a minimum of 1 years professional registration and post-registration experience.
This is a part-time position of 22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days between Monday and Friday, with shifts from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Are you an experienced nurse/HCP looking for a varied role where your clinical knowledge and communication skills can make a real difference?
Trinity Medical Centre is looking for a Clinical Advisor to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an on-site role based at Trinity Medical Centre in Wakefield, providing telephone consultations to our registered patients. You will use your clinical experience and professional judgement to support patients with a wide range of healthcare needs, while working as part of an established and collaborative team.
We're looking for someone who is confident, compassionate and able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients. You will need to be comfortable working independently, making sound clinical decisions and managing sometimes challenging or emotive conversations.
In return, you will join a team that values high-quality patient care, professional development and working together. If you enjoy using your nursing skills in a different way and want to be part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
Working on site at Trinity Medical Centre, you will provide telephone consultations to patients, helping them understand their symptoms and ensuring they receive appropriate and timely care.
Your day will involve speaking with patients by telephone, gathering relevant information, assessing their needs and deciding on the most appropriate next steps. You'll need to recognise when a patient requires urgent or emergency support, while also being confident providing advice, reassurance and self-care guidance where appropriate.
You'll work with a wide variety of patients and presentations, so every day will be different.
Although working independently within your clinical competence, there is always a GP working alongside who is available to provide clinical support and advice when needed.
The role requires someone who can work calmly and confidently, manage their workload effectively and maintain a consistently professional and patient-focused approach.
