Main duties of the job
As Care Home General Manager at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to lead a team delivering person-centred care to residents in a stimulating environment. You'll oversee high-quality care, recruitment, retention, and development of staff, and management of budgetary controls. The role also involves acting as a point of contact for residents and health professionals. Strong leadership, communication skills, and adaptability are essential. You must have a minimum of four years' care experience and a Level 5 Leadership qualification. The role requires a DBS check, and Avery will cover the cost.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory requirement, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
- Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
- Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents wellbeing.
- Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
- Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
- Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.
