ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team. You will deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key contact for residents, relatives, and visitors. You are expected to adhere to the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. An NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes is required, along with two years of experience in a similar environment. The role requires effective communication skills and a positive attitude. You will need to be responsive and flexible in handling a range of responsibilities, ensuring that requests are acted upon and concerns are escalated as needed. A DBS Disclosure check is a requirement of the role, which Avery Healthcare will cover the cost for. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also necessary.
