Job summary
Are you a caring individual with experience of working with mental illness within a recovery framework?
We currently have a vacancy for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to work as part of the team at Beech Step-Down, based at the Lightwood site.

Beech is a 10-bedded mixed gender environment which supports individuals who have experienced a mental health crisis that has resulted in a hospital admission, however, are well enough to be discharged from hospital but due to their social circumstances do not have a suitable discharge destination.
We offer a 24-hour service and expect a high degree of flexibility within our staff team, with shifts covering mornings (Early Shift 07:00 - 15:00), afternoons (Late Shift - 13:30 - 22:00) and Night shifts (21:30 - 08:00).
We are a small team and expect a high level of ingenuity within our Healthcare Assistants in supporting service users within a homely setting, as well as working well as part of the team. We are activity-focussed so to prevent boredom and develop the skills of those under our care.
It is also expected for the staff team to be supporting our service users by identifying their needs and risks in a collaborative manner so to support them in a safe and supportive manner.
Main duties of the job

Sheffield Health Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. If you hold a visa which allows you to work in the UK, you are welcome to apply for this role however our policy requires you to have at least 12 months on your visa at commencement of your employment for training and operational reasons. This means that you need at least 15 months right to work in the UK at the point of application to enable employment checks to be undertaken.
