Job summary

The Care Assistant will play a vital role within Jewish Cares Care team at the Woodford Bridge Road service in Ilford, providing person-centred support that helps residents feel safe, respected, valued and able to live well. This permanent role offers £14.80 per hour and involves a two-week rolling rota, working four days in one week and two days in the next, with 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm, including some weekends. The postholder will support residents with personal care and daily routines, provide companionship and emotional support, encourage independence, choice and dignity, and assist with meals, activities and wellbeing. You will build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues while working as part of a supportive team. Previous care experience is not required, with full training and ongoing support provided

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a kind, patient and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Woodford Bridge Road in Ilford. You will build meaningful relationships with residents and provide the practical and emotional support they need to live well each day. Your role will include personal care, daily routines, mealtimes, activities and companionship, while promoting independence, choice and dignity. You will work closely with colleagues, residents and families to create a warm and supportive environment where people feel safe, respected and valued. No previous care experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping other
