Job summary
The Relief Care Assistant will play an important role within the Care team at Rosetrees, part of Jewish Cares Betty and Asher Loftus Centre in Friern Barnet. Working on a relief basis with 12-hour shifts from 8am8pm, including some weekends, the postholder will provide person-centred support to residents, helping them feel safe, respected, valued and able to live well. The role includes supporting residents with personal care and daily routines, providing companionship and emotional support, encouraging independence, choice and dignity, and assisting with meals, activities and wellbeing. You will build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues and work as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality care. Previous care experience is not required, with full training and ongoing support provided
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a kind, patient and compassionate Relief Care Assistant to join our team at Rosetrees in Friern Barnet. This is a rewarding opportunity to work flexibly while making a genuine difference to residents everyday lives. You will build meaningful relationships and provide the practical and emotional support people need, including personal care, daily routines, mealtimes, activities and companionship. You will promote independence, choice and dignity and work closely with colleagues and families to create a warm and supportive environment. No previous care experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided.
