This is an exceptional opportunity to join Spectrum Community Health CIC as Chief Operating Officer and help shape the next phase of our development as a values-led social enterprise delivering specialist healthcare services across the North of England.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a pivotal executive role, with Board-level accountability for the day-to-day delivery, performance and continuous improvement of Spectrum's operational services. You will hold executive accountability for operational delivery, contractual performance, CQC assurance, service improvement and implementation of the Integrated Management System. A distinctive feature of the role is its responsibility for providing visible, credible professional leadership to our nursing and allied health professional workforce. Current NMC registration is therefore an essential requirement.

Main duties of the job

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the COO will be a key member of the Executive Team, collectively responsible for delivering Spectrum's Business Strategy. The role will help strengthen our specialist services across health and justice, secure settings, substance misuse, sexual health and other areas supporting people and communities experiencing health inequalities. You will be central to sustaining high performance, strong assurance and effective partnerships, while developing models of care that improve outcomes where they matter most.

We are seeking an inclusive, credible and experienced operational leader who combines strategic insight with a strong record of improving complex healthcare services. If you share our commitment to improving lives, believe in the potential of social enterprise to deliver outstanding care and are ready to lead at scale in a purpose-driven organisation, we would be delighted to hear from you.
