Cygnet Hospital Colchesteris a 59-bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs.

We are currently recruiting Support Workers with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

As an active member of our dynamic team, youll provide support for our nursing staff including the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times.

Youll be working 43.75 hours a week covering day and night shifts, between 7:30am - 8pm and 7:30pm - 8am (Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun / Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri) .

Your Day-to-Day

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients & residents

  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical & emotional support

  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way

  • Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required

  • Work within Safeguarding guidelines

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all

  • Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives

  • An excellent communicator and a good team player

  • Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment

  • Helping to empower & support service user independence.
