Job summary
Abbeyview Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice team for 4 - 6 sessions per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established practice serving a growing patient population. We are looking for a GP who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and who would enjoy working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
The post is being recruited under the 2026/27 Practice-Level GP Reimbursement Scheme, which has been introduced to increase GP capacity within general practice and support improved access for patients, particularly those requiring clinically urgent same-day care.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work across a range of routine and same-day general practice activity, including:
- Face-to-face and telephone consultations
- Assessment and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Supporting urgent/same-day patient care
- Prescribing and medication reviews
- Referrals and appropriate onward care
- Participation in clinical administration and results management
- Working collaboratively with the wider practice and multidisciplinary team
- Contributing to practice development, clinical governance and quality improvement
There may also be opportunities to develop areas of clinical interest and contribute to service development within the practice.
