Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly, close-knit team at Chillington Health Centre.
This is a permanent, part-time position, with hours negotiable for the right candidate. We are happy to consider different working patterns and welcome applications from both experienced Practice Nurses and Registered Nurses with transferable clinical skills who are looking to develop their career in primary care.
We recognise that Practice Nurses come with different levels of experience and you do not need to be competent in every aspect of the role from day one. Duties will be tailored to your existing skills and competencies, with appropriate clinical support, supervision, training and development available.
We are looking for someone who shares our friendly, patient-focused approach and will enjoy becoming part of a small rural practice where teamwork, continuity of care and knowing our patients really matter.

Salary is negotiable, starting from £16.50 per hour and dependent on the successful candidates experience, skills and competencies.
Main duties of the job
This is a varied Practice Nurse role providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to our patient population.
Depending on your existing skills, training and competencies, duties may include childhood and adult immunisations, including influenza, COVID-19, RSV, shingles and pneumococcal vaccinations; travel health and vaccinations; long-term condition reviews; cervical screening; wound care and dressings; removal of sutures and staples; Doppler assessments; venepuncture; ECGs; routine observations and health checks; and administration of prescribed injectable medicines including Depo-Provera, Decapeptyl and Prolia.
You will also contribute to health promotion, disease prevention, infection prevention and control, safeguarding and the monitoring of patients with long-term conditions.
You will work closely with our GPs, ANP, GP Assistants and wider practice team, recognising and escalating clinical concerns appropriately and always working within your own scope of practice.
We do not expect the successful candidate to already be competent in every area listed. Duties will be agreed according to individual experience and competence, with training and development supported where appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities
